BOOKING YOUR SAFARIS & DEPOSIT
A deposit of 50% is required upon booking your Hunting Safari for Plains- and Dangerous Game. The balance is payable upon completion of the Safari. Only Trophies taken or wounded are charged for, as well as Daily Rates & Permits. All Permit Fees are payable on confirmation of approval.
If the hunting safari is cancelled, cancellation fees will be due and payable according to the following:
In the event of a cancellation within 60 days prior to the start of the Safari the client will forfeit his Deposit.
If the hunt is cancelled between 90 days and 60 days prior to the start of the Safari his Deposit will be held for a Safari at a later date.
If the hunt is cancelled more than 90 days prior to the start of the Safari the Deposit will be fully refundable, minus a 15% admin fee.
In the event where Mattanja Hunting Safaris cancels the Safari for any reason all Deposits will be fully refundable.
Mattanja Hunting Safaris, its agents and employees shall not be held liable for any damage, losses and expenses suffered by any client as a result of sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, strikes, riots or any other cause outside of our control.
Mattanja Hunting Safaris, its agents and employees, accept no liability in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to person or property arising out of any act, omission or negligence. The client shall be deemed to have waived, renounced and abandoned any and all right or entitlement which the client may be entitled to under the provisions of the law of the Republic of South Africa for any loss or damage to person or property.
Mattanja Hunting Safaris shall not be held liable for any loss or expense arising from the loss of property, cancellation or curtailment of the Hunting Safari however caused, save only to the extent that such loss of baggage, cancellation or curtailment was caused by the hunting Outfitter's negligence.
HUNTING RULES AND REGULATIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA
Here in South Africa & Zimbawe, strict rules apply to hunting activities and Hunters have to abide by them. Therefore, it is vital that clients follow the instructions of his Professional Hunter.
Please respect your Professional Hunters, requirements, decisions and instructions.
Wounded game is counted as bagged and the trophy fee will be charged in full
The game is wounded if it has left a blood trail or the professional hunter becomes convinced of the actual wounding.
Hunters require a permit to hunt, mount & export certain animals in South Africa & Zimbabwe, it is a offense in South Africa & Zimbabwe for anyone to shoot certain animals that he does not have a permit for. All hunting permits will be applied for on behalf of the client by Mattanja Hunting Safaris. Please ensure you only discharge your weapon at Trophy animals indicated to you by your Professional Hunter.
POSSIBILITY OF ENDING THE SAFARI
If the client does not accept his Professional Hunters instructions and the Outfitters requirements; his behaviour and manners make it impossible to stay on the normal course of the hunt; he produces a danger; or poses as a threat to himself and others, the Outfitter reserves the right to immediately end the Safari, back out of the Contract, and he may lay financial recompense for all the booked hunting and non hunting days. Although such cases are very, very rare, we would like to highlight the importance of respecting your Professional Hunter and Outfitters instructions and guidelines. Remember we are only interested in safeguarding your safety and the safety and welfare of our employees and offer you a successful hunt.
Clients may not carry any unlawful articles or substances whilst in South Africa or Zimbabwe a Hunting Safari is being conducted with Mattanja Hunting Safaris. If any hunter or observer offends against the prohibitions set out herein, the hunting Outfitter will be entitled to immediately exclude from the Safari hunting party the offender who will be responsible for his or her own repatriation and all costs thereof.
